About Tohøjgaard

“Tohøjgaard” means “Two Mounds Farm,” and is named for two Stone Age mounds – passage graves – lying 150m to the southwest.

So we know people have lived here more than 5,000 years – and have presumably enjoyed the outstanding views for just as long.

Tohøjgaard was built in 1872, and was a working farm until just a few years ago. Today, the grain lofts and milking rooms have been carefully converted to guest rooms, baths, kitchen and dining room.

After living in the bustle of Copenhagen for many years, pursuing a career, I decided now is the time to realize my dream. So I bought and moved to Tohøjgaard in 2007. Immediately, I was captivated by the harmony of the silence and the ever-changing ocean.

So I began creating a seaside bed & breakfast where couples, families and groups of friends could enjoy a bit of “Life. Unplugged” themselves. A place they could relax and re-charge. Close to forest and beach, far from the noise and stress of everyday life.

Beautiful Møn

Møn is 30km long and about 7km wide, and is dotted with farms, estates and villages. Many people consider it Denmark’s most beautiful island because of its rolling hills, magnificent cliffs, and views of the sea from just about any point.

Møn's beauty is one reason it is home to so many painters, sculptors and artisans. Their galleries and workshops are open to visitors, so be sure to stop by.
