Rooms and property

Our six charmingly-decorated guest rooms are perfect for couples, families and friends who want to relax and enjoy "Life. Unplugged.”

All rooms are on the 1st floor, while all baths are on the ground floor. All rooms have views of the Baltic Sea.

Because we want make your stay as comfortable as possible, we supply each guest room with luxurious, thick bathrobes and slippers, towels,  vanity table and mirror, and hairdryer. Each room is equipped with a clock radio and has a small library of books in English, German and Danish.

In our lounge-sun room, you will find a light kitchen, TV and DVD library, board games and books.

The property has two large gardens, a fire-pit, decks and sun rooms. We are surrounded by forest and farms, so deer, hares, pheasant and migrating birds are an almost daily sight.

Panorama (superior double, shared bath)

One entire "wall" of Panorama is a window and French balcony offering stunning views of the sea. Panorama shares a bath with Magnolia, and can be combined with Magnolia to form a separate suite.

Magnolia (standard double+, shared bath)

Magnolia overlooks the courtyard, and has views of the Baltic Sea. Magnolia can be combined with either Panorama or Hunter (or both) to create a private suite.

Hunter (superior double, private bath)

Hunter overlooks the surrounding countryside, and has an outstanding view of the eastern Møn highlands. Hunter can be "expanded" by combining with Sunset, a small room with single beds (perfect for children). Hunter has a private bath, kitchenette and entrance, and can be combined with Magnolia to create a large private suite for six to eight guests -- perfect for families or groups.

Sunset (can be booked only with Hunter)

Sunset is an "annex" to Hunter, and is perfect as a bedroom for two children or an extra family/group member. Sunset overlooks our courtyard and has view of the sea.

Shangri-La (standard double, shared bath)

Shangri-La's decor takes you to the Far East and invites you to relax and reflect. Shangri-La shares a bath with the Frida room, and can be combined with the Frida room to create a private suite.

Frida (standard double, shared bath)

The Frida room is named for the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, and is decorated with her exciting use of color in mind. The Frida room shares a bath with Shangri La and can be combined with Shangri La to form a private suite.

Familes and groups?

Our rooms can be combined in several ways to form private suites for families and groups. For example:

• Frida + Shangri La: Book both of the "Standard double, shared bath" rooms
• Panorama + Magnolia: Book the "Panorama Magnolia suite"
• Hunter + Sunset: Book the "Hunter-Sunset, Family suite"

Dining

Tohøjgaard is a "bed and breakfast 'plus'."

In addition to a continental breakfast (with optional eggs, bacon, porridge etc), we offer a two-course dinner (by reservation) and lunch packs for your outing.

We use local and organic ingredients whenever possible.

Breakfast, continental: DKK65 / €9.

Dinner, 2 courses: DKK 210 /€28.

Lunch pack: kr. 100 /€14. Our lunch pack includes 2-3 sandwiches (sausage, egg salad, fish paté, for example) on home-baked rye and spelt bread, fresh fruit, vegetable salad, etc. A bit of cheese or a sweet, if desired.

Tohøjgaard is fully licensed and offers a varied selection of organic wines, local ales and organic soft drinks and juices.
